Counseling
The Green Woods Charter School Counseling Program:
At Green Woods Charter School, our school counselors strive to enhance the well being of students by facilitating their academic, interpersonal, and emotional development. Our school counselors provide a range of services including whole class lessons, small group counseling, individual counseling, consultation with school staff and parents, as well as crisis intervention. In addition to these services, our counselors also oversee the high school application process, coordinate 504 Plans, co-facilitate the Student Leadership Team, serve as the McKinney Vento Liaison, and coordinate outside programs.
To provide integrated student support services, our school counselors will sometimes collaborate with outside mental health providers to provide and receive information about a student. In those cases, the school counselor will obtain consent from the caregivers before making contact.
