Elementary Science

Welcome to Elementary Science, where the environment is at the forefront of our curriculum! Students focus on environmental issues and the impact we have on our surroundings. We pride ourselves on making  decisions and improvements that lead to more sustainable lives. At Green Woods, we’ve implemented science programs, TCI! Bring Science Alive, Project Learning Tree, and Eco-Schools. The integration of these programs challenge students to investigate and develop creative solutions for real world problems. Eco-Schools USA provides opportunities for students to take action in pathways to sustainability.

In elementary science, students will have the opportunity to extend their learning outdoors through inquiry and hands-on exploration. In each grade, students tackle a variety of service projects, from recycling, composting, to gardening, and raising trout  to replenish our waterways.
