Meet the Administration


Stephani Finnin


Stephani Finnin has been involved in education for over 24 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in English Education from West Chester University, A Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Secondary School Counseling from West Chester and a Principal’s Certificate from Penn State University. She is currently pursuing her Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility at St. Joseph’s University.

Ms. Finnin began her career as an English Teacher in Coatesville, PA where she was quickly promoted to School Counselor and Dean of Students. Ms. Finnin has served as Principal at Ad Prima Charter School and St. Frances Cabrini Regional Catholic Schools. She was the Assistant Dean at Valley Forge Military Academy and College and a teacher and counselor in the School District of Philadelphia.

Ms. Finnin believes that all children can learn but each learns in a different way and at different rates. Keeping the atmosphere positive is the key to success as well as keeping the lines of communication open among staff, students, and parents. Ms. Finnin feels that teamwork is the ultimate way a school can be successful in reaching the goal of helping a child attain his or her full potential.

Chris Hunsberger

Assistant Principal

Chris Hunsberger steps into the role of Dean of Students with more than fourteen years of experience teaching and working with students of diverse backgrounds. Prior to his time as a Physical Education teacher at Green Woods, Chris was the Health and Physical Education teacher at Ambler Day School and Holy Family Villa Academy. Mr. Hunsberger (or "Mr. H.", as students call him affectionately) has a great rapport with our children and is looking forward to building upon the positive school climate in his new position.

Beginning in 2012, Mr. H contributed his energy and effort to developing several engaging student programs at Green Woods. He was one of the teachers who developed our Trailblazer Cup Challenge, creating a plan for our student body to compete in school focused games and competitions throughout the year, culminating in a Field Day at the end of the school year. He is also a leader for the Trailblazer Running Club, coaching after school to help 7th and 8th graders complete the Broad Street Run through the Students Run Philly Style program.

Mr. Hunsberger grew up in Collegeville and graduated from Perkiomen Valley High School. He then went on to East Stroudsburg University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree, with a teaching certification in Health and Physical Education K12.

Mr. Hunsberger is married and has two lovely daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and spending quality time with his family.

Stephanie Rehrig
Director of Special Education

Stephanie Rehrig began her career in education in 2011. Mrs. Rehrig holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Holy Family University. She received her Master of Science Degree in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership from her alma mater. Mrs. Rehrig holds Pennsylvania certification in Administration, Elementary Education, and Special Education.

Mrs. Rehrig steps into the role of Director of Special Education with experience in both teaching and leadership. Mrs. Rehrig began her career as a second and third-grade teacher at Ad Prima Charter School. After five years, she stepped out of the classroom to pursue roles in leadership. Mrs. Rehrig gained leadership experience working as an Instructional Coach and Special Education Liaison. She joined the Green Woods community in 2018 as the Middle School Special Education teacher.
Mrs. Rehrig's goal is to help our special education students achieve breakthrough academic achievement and to ensure that the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) needs of all special education students are met with robust and rigorous strategies. 

 Joe Ferrante 

Dean of Students
Joe Ferrante joins the Administrative team as the Dean of Students with the goal of fostering a positive school culture around student behavior and academic success. 

Mr. Ferrante brings eight years of experience at Green Woods Charter School, having completed his student teaching experience in the middle school before spending the past six years as part of the 2nd-grade team. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Chestnut Hill College in Elementary Education. 

In his spare time, Mr. Ferrante enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and working on his new home. He also practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu, teaching classes once a week as he works toward his brown belt.

Jeanne Keough

Administrative Assistant

Jeanne Keough was born and raised in nearby Germantown and graduated from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science with a degree in Marketing. She worked for 13 years at Asher's Chocolates in their retail candy store as the assistant manager until she left to raise her family. Jeanne and her husband Dennis are the proud parents of 2 children, Caitlin and Shamus, both are graduated Green Woods students.


Jeanne utilizes her marketing skills by working closely with the Green Woods controller, keeping track of supplies and invoices. You can also find Jeanne monitoring arrival and dismissal and be supporting the many needs of students, teachers, and staff in the very busy Green Woods front office.

Karen Reed
PIMS & Student Enrollment Coordinator

Karen is a long time resident of the Roxborough area. She holds degrees in Business Management and Paralegal/Para Accounting. Karen has three boys, Matthew, Michael and Nicholas all currently or have previously attended GWCS.

As the PIMS & Student Enrollment Coordinator, Karen brings to Green Woods a wealth of knowledge and expertise in database management. She works closely with our Principal and CEO helping with the day to day operation of the school and as with everyone at Green Woods, Karen's job duties incorporate the wearing of many hats.
