Green Woods is a free, public charter school - open to all students. As a public charter school, Green Woods receives 20% less funding compared to other Philadelphia Public schools. That's close to $2,000 less per student each year and we receive no funding for facilities! While it costs the same amount to educate a Green Woods student as it does a student attending a traditional public school, Green Woods must rely on judicious and frugal management, and fundraising to pay for the many things that tax dollars do not.

A gift to Green Woods is an investment in sustainability, the future of a student, and the future of our city and our planet. Your donation will support our ability to offer curriculum enrichment, enhance technology integration, ensure our teachers are well-compensated for the work that they do, fund priority enhancements for our new building, and cover the cost of general operations.
