HOW DO ANIMALS SPEND THE WINTER?

As the weather gets colder, days grow shorter, leaves turn to brown and the trees get bare, our First Grade ecologists asked themselves the important question, "How Do Animals Spend the Winter?" Now that winter is here and snow covers the ground, where are all of the animals and what are they doing? While humans live in warm homes, and we get our food from the local grocery store, what do you think that animals are doing in winter to satisfy their basic needs?
