D.E.A.R. - Drop Everything And Read

The entire school participated in a Drop Everything And Read Program organized by Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter School. In October, Sankofa celebrates the principle of Umoja or Unity. The Sankofa Student Council (Students United with Nia (Purpose)) came up with the idea to promote unity, positivity, and literacy by having other schools join with them in their D.E.A.R time. The entire Green Woods community was excited to show our support for unity and literacy by stopping whatever we were doing in for 20 minutes of independent reading time!!
