Each and every day, Green Woods' teaching team provides students with dynamic learning experiences that focus on the relationship between humans and the natural world. Our ponds, streams, forests, and fields act as the ideal "learning laboratory" for exploration and discovery, while our partnership with the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education enhances the EIC curriculum created and delivered by our passionate staff.

Prospective teachers must be committed to supporting a teaching and learning environment that promotes student success within a framework of collaboration and teamwork. Teachers must also bring their personal strengths to the team to support our students by both differentiating instruction and minimizing interruptions to the learning environment. We believe that all students have a right to learn within an environment that promotes academic excellence as well as an environment that is free of disruptions.

In addition to sound classroom instructional practices, prospective teaching candidates must be committed to developing within children the knowledge and skills that foster an environmental ethic leading to active participation and environmental stewardship.
