Natalia Olson Urtecho is the President, Founder and CEO of EG Sustainability. She has over 17 years of experience working with international, regional and local entities in the Philadelphia region and abroad. Before founding EG she was a Transportation and Land use Planner at the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission and previously before coming to Philadelphia she worked for the U.S State Department in Budapest, Hungary, on NATO accession, international policies, flood relief, human rights and environmental issues.
She served on the Philadelphia Planning and Zoning Code Commissions from 2008-2010. As Vice-chair of the Zoning Code Commission she led the most extensive civic engagement and community outreach program in order to reach a balance between development, design and public input for a new zoning code and a new comprehensive city plan.
A perpetual driving force for sustainability issues in the Delaware Valley region, Natalia serves on many local boards and committees including the Philadelphia's Urban Sustainability Forum Committee, the Delaware Valley Green Building Council Policy Committee, and the Wharton/UPENN Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership Faculty Advisory Committee.
Natalia received the 2010 Minority Business Leader Award and in 2009 received the Women of Distinction Award for all her work towards building a green economy. In the summer of 2011, Natalia was appointed to the new U.S. Innovation Advisory Board by the U.S. Department of Commerce. |
