Rick Meketon, Board Chair

Rick is the parent of two children ages 15 and 12 who both attended Green Woods since its founding. He graduated W.B. Saul High School. He majored in Agriculture and Urban Studies at Penn State and Temple University respectively.

For the past thirty years Rick has worked in Retail Management as well as in nonprofits teaching ex offenders Job Skills and Personal Finances.  When asked why he wanted to be a trustee Rick replied “ It was the need to provide a solid foundation to the children of the Green Wood’s community and help to insure its survival.  Green Woods has given much to my children and I felt this was the opportunity to give back.”

Rick started out as one of the founders of the Home and School. He has always been involved, both at Green Woods and as a Board of Trustee and fundraiser at his local house of worship. He has developed deep roots in the Philadelphia community which he has lived in most of his life.
