Joan Carr, Treasurer

Joan is the mother of 4th grade student Joshua McBride. One of Green Woods’ Founding Mothers, Joan is an avid recycler and environmentalist who has written recycling tips for our Wednesday Bulletin for the past 4 years. In addition, Joan is an active member of the Green Woods Fund Raising Committee.

For 30 years, Joan has worked for the Social Security Administration, most recently in a special unit spearheaded by former Vice-President Al Gore. She was awarded the SSA Community Service Award for starting a recycling program for the training classes. Joan loves gardening, the great outdoors, photography, traveling and hiking our National Parks.
