Laura Schwingel, Secretary

Laura Schwingel has more than 18 years of experience working with an array of nonprofit, community-based organizations. She has run her own consulting practice since 2004, which specializes in grant writing, program, annual and strategic planning, as well as policy and advocacy for community development organizations and associations.  

She and her husband Rick Sauer are the proud parents of two daughters, Zoe and Emma, both of whom are Green Woods Charter School students. What Laura especially loves about GWCS is the way environmental education is the thread that ties the curriculum together. She has an M.A. in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
